Adblock doesn't block video ads anymore. I'm pretty sure it is because of the new chrome update.

I hope this gets fixed soon.

Also not blocking video ads in Safari 7.0.1; either in youtube or other video content with ads, like TV shows streaming on Xfinity On Demand

Not blocking YT ads, either banners in videos or ads before videos, in Safari 5.1.7.

Is anyone at adblock working on this? I was led to believe that adblock would block video ads on Youtube. Will someone from adblock reply with a status report on this problem?

    Hi!

Currently, we're working to make YouTube ads show on our computers. While we can reproduce it perfectly fine in Safari, in Chrome 32 Stable we're having problems.

We will continue to test this out, and will update our Known Bugs page when we have info.

Apologies for the long wait for info, by the way - there's a lot happening in the team as well as the YouTube bugs. Watch out in AdBlock in the coming months: we're testing out a big update...

If you want a couple of hints, see our Social Media pages on Facebook, Twitter and Google+!

Good to see how fast the support staff are here!

If you had the source code on Github with a short guide on how to set up a development environment (run tests etc.), a lot of these things would be sorted sooner with less effort. Just a thought.

    Cheers,
    Matt.

Yes, I know it's open source. My point is that if it was made more accessible, there would be more people contributing.

    Cheers,
    Matt.

I think YouTube/Google is working to make money off ads, we watch videos and listen to music for free, with ads they make some money. no ads, no money and the "industry" has to make money to continue doing what they're doing, ads annoy me, I was happy to have adblock but I understand if google tries to permanent the ads.

    Hi Everyone!

Please don't comment saying "+1, me too!". This only wastes time, spams everyone's emails and doesn't speed up our attempts to fix this.

We know about this problem (keep an eye on these Known Bugs: Chrome Safari), and we will update you when the fix is out.

Apologies for any inconvenience with this bug.
